Most frequent questions about Virtual Intensive Outpatient

What Is Outpatient Detox?

Virtual intensive outpatient treatment (V-IOP) is a specialized form of intensive outpatient treatment that uses secure video conferencing to provide care to individuals unable to attend in-person meetings. Our V-IOP allows individuals to receive the same high-quality care as a traditional intensive outpatient treatment but in a more convenient format.

What Happens During A V-IOP Session?

During a V-IOP meeting, participants will connect with their counselor and fellow group members via video chat. The group provides support and encouragement. Throughout the session, individuals discuss their treatment progress and any challenges they face.

Case managers also review individuals’ treatment progress during sessions, set goals for the upcoming week, and provide support and resources as needed.

Why Consider A V-IOP?

Traditional IOP programs can be challenging to access, especially if you live in a rural area, have a busy schedule, or have transportation issues. That’s where virtual intensive outpatient treatment (V-IOP) comes in. V-IOP allows individuals to receive addiction treatment from the comfort of their homes at a time that works for them. And because V-IOP takes place on a computer or mobile device, it’s more affordable than traditional IOP programs.

Other benefits of a virtual intensive outpatient program include:

  • Flexible meeting times and schedules
  • Family involvement
  • Privacy
  • Convenience
  • Personalized treatment
  • Lower costs
