RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT PROGRAMS

Premier Residential Treatment Provider for

Drug & Alcohol Addiction in Indiana

Our Residential Program offers all-inclusive addiction treatment and long-term rehabilitation services to men and women suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. The Residential level of care is usually the first stage in addiction treatment following medical detox and is the principal element for treatment of substance use disorders. The major emphasis of the Residential Program is on educating the individual about their disorder and providing the insight and skills needed for long-term recovery.

Our clinical schedule consist of 30 hours of clinical services for the residential program that includes numerous and diverse education groups as well process therapy groups. Our clients are housed at our facility and receive 24 hours, 7 days per week supervision by medical staff and behavior health technicians.  On weekends, clients are engaged in social rehab activities and attend daily 12 -step recovery meetings.

What Is Residential Drug Rehab Treatment?

A residential drug rehab program offers treatment in a 24-hour setting where patients can safely recover from addiction without distractions or access to drugs and alcohol.

Bridges of Hope offers a variety of evidence-based clinical services such as drug and alcohol detox and behavioral therapy. Residential drug rehab programs are typically recommended for those who need a safe, stable, and supportive living environment, or those who have a history of relapse and need assistance staying sober.

These programs also offer a high level of support and stability for those diagnosed with a co-occurring mental illness such as bipolar disorder or PTSD, reports SAMHSA.

Which Therapies Are Included in Residential Treatment?

Residential drug rehab programs offer an array of services and therapies that address every unique aspect of a person’s substance use disorder. Medication-assisted treatment is available to treat opioid and alcohol use disorders, and involves the use of medications that relieve withdrawal symptoms and reduce drug cravings. Medical drug detox also helps manage physical symptoms of drug and alcohol withdrawal.

Behavioral therapies help people recover from psychological addiction by teaching them how to modify negative behaviors and attitudes surrounding drug and alcohol use. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is one of the most common therapies used to help patients develop coping strategies.

Other evidence-based therapies at residential rehab include:

  • Contingency management
  • Community reinforcement
  • Motivational enhancement
  • 12-step facilitation
  • Substance abuse education
  • Relapse prevention training

Who Can Benefit From Residential Treatment?

Anyone who is struggling with drug or alcohol addiction or who has a co-occurring mental health disorder that requires intensive treatment can benefit from residential treatment, even if they have supportive family members at home. Residential treatment offers patients a structured environment away from daily responsibilities and stressors that may otherwise interfere with recovery. A major benefit to residential drug rehab is that the individual is able to focus 100% on recovery.

SAMHSA reports that residential treatment is highly beneficial to those with co-occurring disorders due to the way this program provides medication monitoring, psychoeducational classes, and access to an on-site psychiatrist. Residential drug rehab may also greatly benefit those who have tried other programs and relapsed, those who live in environments where drugs and alcohol are easily accessible, and those who need help settling into a new routine after becoming sober.
